Numerous, a dashboard app for tracking a wide range of numbers, is an iOS app gem in terms of taking advantage of Apple technologies and one of my favorite lesser known apps for that reason. Today a new version of Numerous is being released adding new channels including a Tesla channel for Model S owners as well as a Google Sheets channel for tracking numbers from spreadsheets…

Soon after iOS 8’s release, Numerous delivered a rather customizable widget for adding numbers you track to the Today view in Notification Center. Most recently, I used this to track the days until a couple of important birthdays as well as the ever important Valentine’s Day to avoid last minute shopping. Putting a number on things like these really adds perspective.

Numerous also ties into Apple’s HealthKit feature showing data otherwise found in iOS 8’s Health app alongside the other numbers you track on one dashboard, and the app’s take on AirPlay (the app has a separate UI for displaying to Apple TV) let’s you know its developers follow the latest Apple technologies.

It’s also evident the makers of Numerous care about Elon Musk, Tesla, and SpaceX (like some of us!) as the latest version released today adds new channels for watching numbers for Model S owners and space enthusiasts alike.

From the new Tesla channel, Model S owners can fill the Numerous dashboard with: Rated Range, Estimated Range, Battery Level, Charge Rate, and Time to Full Charge. (Maybe we’ll see Apple Car numbers here come 2020?) The new celestial events channel tracks Phases of the Moon, Rocket Launches (including SpaceX events), Supermoons, Eclipses, and Meteors.

Rounding out the new version is a channel for Google Sheets that lets you add number results from your spreadsheets, and news that future channel additions won’t require app updates (meaning more channels sooner).

Numerous for iPhone and iPad is available for free on the App Store (and expect an Apple Watch app, too, when the times comes). The latest version should be rolling out now.
