Nokia C1 was announced in December 2019 which sports a 5.45-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 480 x 960 pixels. The device has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 77.9 %.

Method 1: Via Dialer App [Tested and Works]:

Pre-Requisites: 

  • This OTA is exclusively for Nokia C1 only. Don’t use it on other devices
  • Ensure that your phone has the latest firmware installed.
  • Charge your phone to at least 70% more
  • Though you won’t lose any of your data in the installation process, we still suggest you take a  full backup.

Instructions:

  • First of all, download the OTA zip and rename the package to the corresponding zip file
  • Now move the OTA Zip package to the root of your device’s internal storage [Outside all folders ]
  • Open the dialer app (Phone) and dial the number*##874##
  • Wait for the update to finish and restart when prompted.

Method 3: Via Nokia OST Tool

To install Nokia firmware, you can use the Nokia OST Tool also known as Nokia Online Service tool.

Method 3: Via Sideload Method

We have not tested this, but the first method works really fine.

  • Charge your phone to at least 70% more
  • Download the Minimal ADB & fastboot tool.
  • A PC/Laptop

Here are simple steps that you have to follow to manually flash the stock ROM on Nokia C1.

Step-1 First, download the Nokia C1 OTA zip file on your PC/Laptop.

Step-2 Move the OTA file to the folder where you have installed the ADB/fastboot.

Step-3 Hold the SHIFT key + right-click in the white space inside the folder > Select ‘Open PowerShell window here’.

Step-4 Next, switch off your device.

Step-5 Now enter your Nokia C1 into recovery mode by pressing Volume Up + Power button simultaneously till recovery menu appears.

Step-6 Scroll down to the option ‘Apply update from ADB’ using the Volume keys > press the Power button to select it.

Step-7 Connect the phone to the PC using the USB cable.

Step-8 Verify the connection status of your device by entering the command given below:

adb devices

Step-9 You will see it returns the device ID which confirms the connection is properly made.

Step-10Now enter the following command to sideload the OTA zip file to install on Nokia C1.

adb sideload ota-package.zip

(replace OTA package zip with the actual file name as you have saved)

Step-11 After the installation process finishes, go back to recovery menu and select ‘Reboot system now’.
