Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing as James Bond in No Time to Die will see some familiar faces making a return. Though plenty of new characters will make their debuts in the 007 franchise, characters from as far back as Quantum of Solace will play a role.

Since 2006’s Casino Royale, Craig has led MI6 through one dangerous mission after the next, thwarting evil schemes, one-upping ruthless masterminds, and eventually settling on a preferred drink of choice. However, for as many new allies he’s gained along the way, James Bond has faced considerable losses. And, if the trailer for No Time to Die is any indication, his personal hardships with Léa Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann stand to hold as much weight as whatever threats the film’s new villain, Safin (Rami Malek), is orchestrating.

No Time to Die will introduce a handful of new characters - including Malek as the film’s new villain, Safin, Lashana Lynch as 00 agent Nomi, and Craig’s Knives Out co-star Ana de Armas as Paloma. But it’s the returning characters who will help tie a neat bow around Craig’s 14-year-long run as 007. Here is every character returning in No Time to Die.

James Bond

After 2015’s Spectre, Daniel Craig took a break from on-screen espionage in exchange for an uncredited cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a comedic turn in Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky, and a Golden Globe-nominated role as private investigator Benoit Blanc in Knives Out. In No Time to Die, Craig returns as James Bond, who comes out retirement to help an old ally, Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright). In doing so, Bond ultimately sets down a dangerous path where he must face villains old and new - all the while confronting a dark secret that risks breaking a personal bond.

Ernst Stavro Blofeld

Two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz returns for a second time in the 007 franchise as classic Bond villain, Blofeld. After he was ultimately thwarted by Bond at the end of Spectre, he ultimately lived to see another day. However, despite Bond getting the upper hand - and despite the fact that Blofeld appears to be securely locked away in maximum security prison in the No Time to Die trailers - fans of the franchise know better than to bet against Blofeld. The character made several returns to the franchise in the past, and considering the fact that he’s Bond’s arch nemesis, it stands to reason that he might find his way out of confinement one way or another.

Madeleine Swann

Madeleine Swann is not the franchise’s typical “Bond girl.” Daughter of the late Mr. White - a former member of Spectre and a recurring adversary of 007’s - Swann gets entangled in Bond’s misadventures, ends up joining him on his mission, and nearly loses her life in the process. By the end of Spectre, the two ride off together in his Aston Martin, and all seems well. However, in No Time to Die, Bond finds out that she’s been hiding something from him - which he believes may well lead to her betrayal.

Q

When it comes to his gadgets, James Bond would be lost without Q (Ben Whishaw). The two formed a strong alliance when Q ( short for Quartermaster) first appeared in 2012’s Skyfall. He’s been assisting Bond ever since, and though it’s unclear how exactly he’ll manage to get Bond out of tight situations in No Time Time to Die, the fact that this is Craig’s last chance to play with some expensive toys means fans should likely expect him to be the source of some last minute deus ex machinas in the film’s eleventh hour.

Eve Moneypenny

Like Q, Eve Moneypenny (Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris, Moonlight) is a classic 007 character who didn’t show up in the series until midway into Craig’s run as Bond. Moneypenny makes her first appearance in Skyfall, and - unlike earlier versions of the character - isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, on account of being a former MI6 field agent. In Skyfall, she nearly got Bond killed, but she’s remained a loyal ally through and through. Incidentally, her Moonlight director, Barry Jenkins, stated that he’s interested in potentially directing her in her own spinoff.

M

Ralph Fiennes is no stranger to imposing characters. He played the titular serial killer in Red Dragon, the foul-mouthed crime boss Harry Waters in Martin McDonagh’s In Bruges, and He Who Must Not Be Named in the Harry Potter series. Replacing Judi Dench’s M at the end of Skyfall, Fiennes is an imposing character yet again - only, in this case, he’s one of the good guys. At the end of Spectre - his first full run as the head of MI6 - M personally sees to Blofeld’s incarceration. Given the fact that Blofeld is known for pulling the strings from the shadows, it’s possible that M’s actions could come back to haunt him.

Felix Leiter

Appearing only twice in the franchise during Craig’s first two films - Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace - Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) is a CIA agent who’s proven himself to be a loyal ally of 007’s. Though Leiter has been a strictly supporting character - despite playing a more significant role in Ian Fleming’s novels - his connection with Bond ends up being the narrative catalyst in No Time to Die that ultimately sets up Craig’s final chapter in the franchise.

Bill Tanner

M’s Chief of Staff, Bill Tanner (Rory Kinnear) has been around since Quantum of Solace, and is one of the only returning characters who doesn’t get involved in any physical action - though he came the closest at the end of Spectre. Quiet and reserved, Tanner is typically resigned to keeping M updated on 007’s whereabouts. His role in No Time to Die appears to be more of the same, but there’s no telling how things will ultimately play out - or how physical Tanner will have to end up getting - considering how high the stakes will inevitably be.
